Spreadsheets: LibreOffice Calc

LibreOffice Calc (similar to Microsoft Excel) is a free program that can be used in the home to record and analyse simple household lists and finances, such as you may already record on paper.

Microsoft Excel is a software program produced by Microsoft that allows users to organise, format and calculate data with formulas using a spreadsheet system. It is part of the Microsoft Office suite and is compatible with other applications in the Office suite.

This series of workshops is presented using Microsoft Excel. However, a number of other free programs are compatible with documents produced in Excel and have similar features. These include: OpenOffice Calc, Google Docs - Sheets, LibreOffice and Polaris Office.
