Overview

If you have a Gmail account, you altready have a Google Account. A Google Account is a user account that provides access to Google-owned services such as GMail, YouTube, Google Calendar, Google Drive, and Google Plus. A Google Account sign up automatically creates a Gmail email account, which allows you to email from anywhere in the world, and Users can then add other Google applications. If you have an Android device you need a Google account to access Google's Play Store to download and update Apps. Google claims that creating an account is quick and easy, but sometimes it's not as easy as it looks - and so we are here to help.

Prerequisites

Bring your own device. You will use a Learning Centre computer to create the Google account, then you will log into it from your mobile device. Decide on a creative user name and password before the class.
