Overview

This session is brought to you with the co-operation of a major sponsor - Westpac Banking Corporation. The purpose of the workshop is to help you feel more comfortable and confident when it comes to using Online Banking and to provide an interactive ‘hands on’ experience of an online banking site.  You will practise making transactions using the Westpac demo website which mirrors what you would use in real live online banking with Westpac. You do not have to bank with Westpac to take this workshop. Online Banking with other banks will operate a little differently.

Prerequisites

Basic computer skills.

Learning Objectives

You will practise and learn:

• How to keep safe online
• How to register and log-on (All major banks included)
• How to rename your accounts to make them more easily recognisable
• How to complete transactions online including:
  • Set up new payees
  • Make a payment to a saved payee
  • Make a payment to someone new
  • Transfer money between your own accounts
