Introduction to Mac Computers
Each of these three courses consists of Two x 2-hour sessions Each Costs $10
Mac Intro 1
With this programme of study, you can open your Mac, check the battery if needed, open Safari web browser (or the browser of your choice), use Google search engine to find information of your choice, then email this information to a friend and receive an answer. It includes mouse or trackpad and keyboard so you can open your Mac, point to where you want to go, and go there.
Mac Intro 2
With this programme of study, you will use Launch pad to start applications (apps) and Mission Control to switch between them. You will be introduced to the preference of OS X (OS Ten) and to the apps you use. You will learn to use several apps and Dashboard, and find answers to questions you might have. The course is focused on Yosemite and Mavericks though members with earlier version will also get much from it.
Mac Intro 3
With this programme of study, you will build on Mac Intro 1 and 2, and extend the Mac use to include setting applications to suit your use, make use of desktop applets through Dashboard, use web browsers and file the locations that are especially useful. You will be introduced to several of the more useful applications that come with the Mac, backup your data, secure your Mac and finish with an extended exercise to confirm your advanced use. You will be ready to attend any course to learn specific advanced applications.
