This is a fun hands-on course for those who want to start using Twitter.

Prerequisites

You may bring your laptop or other device or use a computer in The Learning Centre.

Learning Objectives

To set up a Twitter account

Basic instructions and advice to get you up and tweeting!

That using Twitter is a bit like texting…..you send very short messages: but the big difference is that you are sending the Twitter message to the world.

Many people now think of Twitter as a news source rather than a social network.
Today's Twitter is less focused on “What are you doing?”and more about “What’s going on?”
It has emerged as a source for discovery, with a focus onsharing relevant information.
