Photos: Prepare for Printing
Using FastStone Image Viewer
One two hour session Cost: $7 For Windows users
Overview
Most digital photos can be improved by performing some simple editing. For this two hour workshop we will use FastStone Image Viewer to perform these tasks prior to printing. FastStone has been chosen because it is user friendly and has a good selection of editing tools. FastStone is a free program which can be downloaded from faststone.org (Choose FastStone Image Viewer and click download.) Find someone to help you or contact the Tutor if you have difficulty with this.
Prerequisites
Basic computer skills are needed and the ability to use a Flash Drive. You must be able to get your photos from your camera to your computer.
Learning Objectives
You will learn how to:
- Crop your images.
- Adjust the lighting levels.
- Remove imperfections with the 'clone and heal' tool.
- Straighten a sloping horizon.
- Apply sharpening to an image.
