Overview

This is a fun hands-on course for those who want to start using Twitter.

Prerequisites

You may bring your laptop, mobile phone or other device or use a Mac or Windows computer in The Learning Centre.

Learning Objectives

You will learn:

• to set up a Twitter account
• basic instructions and advice to get you up and tweeting!
• that using Twitter is a bit like texting…..you send very short messages: but the big difference is that you are sending the Twitter message to the world.

Many people now think of Twitter as a news source rather than a social network.
Today's Twitter is less focused on “What are you doing?”and more about “What’s going on?”
It has emerged as a source for discovery, with a focus on sharing relevant information.
