Overview
This is a basic workshop for anybody who is interested in learning how to create a website using the Joomla! 3.6 platform.
Prerequisites
Participants can bring their own laptop or use one of the Learning Centre computers.
You will need:
- Your own webmail account - (bring the username and remember your password).
- Reasonable computer skills, including accessing the web and email.
- Basic word processing skills - editing, formatting, copy and paste, etc.
- Keenness to learn about website development
- Enjoyment of problem-solving
- Organisational ability
Learning Objectives
You will learn:
- Why Content Management Systems are used.
- How to build a simple personal website using the latest version of Joomla!
Joomla! is an easy-to-use, flexible and extendable content management system (CMS). - How to register with Cloudaccess.net at no cost.
