Overview

This is an elementary course for people who are new to photo editing. We show you how to enhance your photos and to easily add effects.

Prerequisites

Basic computer skills are needed and the ability to use a Flash Drive. You must be able to get your photos from your camera to your computer. SeniorNet runs a workshop on Flash Drives and another called Camera to Computer.

Learning Objectives

You will learn how to:

  • Crop your photos to improve the composition
  • Resize images for email
  • Adjust the brightness in photographs
  • Improve the colour easily
  • Add text, frames and special effects to images
  • Sharpen and save your photographs

FastStone is a free program which can be downloaded from faststone.org (Choose FastStone Image Viewer and click download.) Find someone to help you or contact the Tutor if you have difficulty with this.
