Android Tablet Starter

Two x 2-hour sessions     $10     For Tablets with Android operating system

Overview:

This is a a basic starter course for people completely new to Android Tablets.  Having done this, later you can go on to take the Android for Smartphones and Tablets Course.

Prerequisites:

To take this course you must have first downloaded the free App “Starting Blocks' and practised with it to ensure you can use your touch screen well enough to participate.

To obtain the App “Starting Blocks” you need to know the password of your Google account.
(If you have a Gmail account you already have a Google account – they are the same thing.)

If you don't have already have a Google account and need help to get one you need to go to the workshop which teaches you how to Create a Google Account & will also show you how to download “Starting Blocks” to your device. 
You then need to practise with Starting Blocks before taking the Android Tablet Starter course.

• Downloading Apps
• Installing anti-virus protection 
• Revising basic use and navigation.
• Looking at some basic settings
• Updating Apps
• Using some basic Apps.
  
  

Nothing technical is covered and the pace is slow.

When you are comfortable with the absolute basics you can go on to do the Android for Smartphones and Tablets course.
