Website Maintenance: Procedures

 


Administration

  • Liaises with Website Administration at all times and cover swhen required.
  • Manages JoomlaExtensions and users.
  • As Web Editor, approves new material and changes with Website: Administration.
  • Performs weekly backup of the full site.
  • Finds and remedy broken links.
  • Liaises with ISP as required or sources Technical support elsewhere.
  • Prepares monthly report to Management Committee.
  • Updates "Our People" on the website and in the Learning Centre when people change.

Website Content

  • Edits and publishes site content as required.
  • Updates Club Day information provided by the Publicity Officer on Home and Club Day pages.
  • Uploads Minutes and other documents from information provided by the Secretary, Management Committee and SNAP Administrators.
  • Tests Sitemap using Google Search Consul  in July and January.

Other jobs

  • Researches improvements for the website with Website Administration and implements requested changes.
  • Monitors webmail and purges as required -

  • Troubleshoots technical problems with Website Administration
  • Encourages contributions from members to articles and images for site use.

Liaises with: Website Administration, Calendar Manager, Tutor/Course Convenor, Tutors, Website host and Technical advisers.
